Gurudwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvin Village Pandher
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came to village Pandher from Maisar Khana late in the afternoon. On inquiring from villagers about a place for taking rest, he was shown a potter’s house. Unmindful of the disrespect shown towards him, Guru Ji at once proceeded towards village Ali Sher. Later when the headman of the village Pandher learnt about the incident and also that the traveller was Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, then, he became resentful. The village elders collected a few lumps of jaggery and some money, as an offering to be taken to Guru Ji. While on their way they met a person who was returning after meeting Guru Ji. They asked him what offering Guru Ji accepts to grant them a reprieve for their misbehavior? None, replied the stranger. He further informed them that the Guru Ji was compassionate and overlooks the fault of others. The elders of the village Pandher then distributed the offerings among themselves and went to the Guru empty handed. The GuruJi unmindful of their past conduct instructed them to follow the path of virtuous living. The villagers realized their mistake and returned. The remorseful residents of Pandher constructed a memorial on the spot where the Guru had briefly halted.Prakash Divas of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji are celebrated with enthusiasm. Shahidi Divas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji are also organized here. Accommodation: There is a Sarai, which has eight rooms where pilgrims may stay.
