1. You may commit a sin concealing yourself behind countless curtains,
Yet it will be known to the world in an instant.

2. As empty-handed you have come, So empty-handed you will go;
You will repent for your sins.

4. As the ocean is full of water, So we are full of sins;
Have mercy, have mercy upon us, Thou who canst float sinking stones.

5. By remembering God, All your sins shall be washed off.

6. My master, Who can fathom Thy greatness,
And who can count my sins?

7. Avarice is a dog, Falsehood a sweeper,
Cheating is the eating of a dead body; Slander is the dirt that my tongue tasteth,
And anger is the fire that burns me as at cremation,
I indulge in nothing but self-esteem; See, these are my doings, O Lord!

8. Praise, praise, be to the Lord, The Giver of peace, Who rids us of all our sins.

9. We are being drownde in the sea of vice, Nanak prays:
Save me, O save me, my Lord.

10. They who attained the Truth did so through good deeds;
They gave up their desire for evil.

11. May my soul be purified from sins, With the dust of Thy feet.
