Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Charan Asthan Dukh Nivaran (Beerwah) – Beerwah, 35 kilimetres southwest of Srinagar, in the newly formed Badgam district was also visited by Guru Nanak Dev. The commemorative shrine is named Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Charan Asthan Dukh Nivaran. Its present building was constructed in 1975. It is a double-storey building with the sanctum on the first floor and residential rooms on the ground floor.
Gurdwara Guru Nanak Charan Asthan, Berwa: This historic shrine is situated 35 Kms from Srinagar in Berwa (Distt. Budgam). A small Gurdwara was constructed before 1947, but in 1948 that gurdwara building was washed away by floods. In 1975, a new Gurdwara building was erected, which is managed by Parbandhak Committee, Budgam.
After the visit of Guru Nanak Sahib, Guru Har Gobind Sahib visited the valley, after his release from Gwalior Fort in 1619 Guru Ji returned to visit the valley along with the Mughal Enperor Jahangir on horse back in 1620 while enroute to Sial Kot, Gulatian, Wazirabad, Mirpur and Bhimber. After that they entered Kashmir through Shupian.
